I Received an Inquiry from A Buyer Outside of Saskatchewan - What Should I Do?
Ask for the buyers daytime phone number so you can contact them to discuss the purchase. An honest buyer will have no problem giving this information to you. Anyone that doesn't want to give you their phone number is probably just wasting your time. A buyer who offers to send you more than what you are asking & wants you to return the difference should be treated as suspicious. A buyer that wants you to ship the item to them should also be treated as suspicious. Shady buyers often request this - they send you paypal payment then ask you to ship it. You, in good faith ship the item and let the buyer know it has been shipped. The buyer then files a dispute to paypal saying they never received the item from you after paying for it. Paypal holds funds from your account until it is settled or until you prove the item was shipped and received. Be cautious of paypal transactions like these. It is a good idea on any transaction to insist on cash as payment when the buyer comes to pick up the item. If you do accept a cheque and to protect yourself, do not let the buyer take your item until the cheque has cleared.
